Super 14 action continues in Auckland and Blues fans can catch a free ride on specified public transport to this Saturday’s game (17th April) against Perth’s Western Force – as they can for every home game played at Eden Park this season.
By simply showing their pre-purchased match ticket on specified public transport services, Blues supporters can enjoy free and convenient travel to and from the stadium.
Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) General Manager, Mark Lambert says “The Super 14 season is well under way and the Blues have got a big game this weekend so why not avoid the hassle and cost of parking and get a ride to the ground for free with MAXX.
“The game kicks off at 5:30pm and free travel is available on all rail lines on Saturday 17th April from 2:30 to 5:30pm. Following the end of the game, rugby goers can travel home for free until the last train service. Normal fares will apply for passengers travelling without a valid match ticket or Eden Park membership card.
“Free travel to Eden Park is also available on special bus services from 3:30pm and after the game until fans have cleared.
“Please also allow plenty of time for your arrival at Eden Park and remember, you’ll need to show your game ticket to travel for free, so keep hold of it for the return journey too,” says Mr Lambert.
