The Blues will be hoping to charge into the 2010 Super 14 season with a win against the Hurricanes this Friday 12 February, as the two Kiwi teams battle it out at North Harbour Stadium. Blues fans can catch a free ride to this and every home game at Eden Park this season, simply by showing their pre-purchased match ticket on specified public transport services.
Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) General Manager, Mark Lambert says “Super 14 season is here again and Blues fans that pre-purchase and show their home match tickets can avoid the hassle and cost of parking and get a ride to the games for free with MAXX.”
Friday’s game at North Harbour Stadium kicks off at 7.35pm and to travel there for free, simply catch the Northern Express bus service, which departs regularly from Britomart and travels via all Northern Busway stations to connect to a shuttle service to the stadium from Albany. Shuttle services will run to connect with the Northern Express to Britomart following the game.
You can travel to Britomart by train to catch the Northern Express: free travel is valid for match ticket holders on all lines to Britomart from 4.35pm onwards. Following the game, rugby-goers can travel home by train until the close of service.
“Remember, you’ll need to show your game ticket to travel for free, so keep hold of it for the return journey too.” Mr Lambert said.
