ARTA's Board of Directors has overall responsibility for the functions of ARTA, including the integrated planning, funding and implementation of all modes of transport throughout the Auckland region. All decisions relating to the operation of ARTA are made by or under the authority of the Board in accordance with the Local Government (Auckland) Amendment Act 2004 and the operative annual Statement of Intent.
| | Rabin Rabindran Rabin Rabindran is a commercial barrister and international legal consultant specialising in infrastructure development, construction, energy and transport. He has worked on major projects in more than 25 countries acting for governments, local authorities and major corporations. He is a Director of Manukau Water Ltd, Tomorrow’s Manukau Properties Ltd, TMPL (Flat Bush) Ltd and a company with interests in China. Rabin is also Chairman of the Rugby World Cup Regional Transport Forum, Chairman of the Singapore Chapter of the ASEAN New Zealand Combined Business Council and a Trustee of the Chinese Language Foundation. He chaired the Public Hearings Panels for the Auckland Land Transport Programme and the Regional Public Transport Plan. Rabin was previously a Partner of Simpson Grierson and a Director of an Australian public company with major interests in Asia and the Pacific. |

| Adrienne Young-Cooper Adrienne Young-Cooper is an independent non-executive director and strategic resource management consultant. She was a founding shareholder of Hill Young Cooper Limited, a planning and resource management consultancy based in Wellington and Auckland. She specialises in urban growth management and the relationship between transport and land use. Adrienne was an inaugural director of Auckland Regional Transport Networks Limited, and took special governance responsibility for the commissioning of the Britomart Transport Centre. In addition to ARTA, she currently sits on the boards of Solid Energy New Zealand Limited, Maritime New Zealand, Manukau Building Consultants Limited, Housing New Zealand Corporation, Hobsonville Land Company Limited and the Auckland City Property Enterprise Board. Adrienne is also a trustee of charitable organisations. |
